What is a CRN Evaluation?
In Bucks County, local Bucks County District Justice will refer to an initial alcohol evaluation called a CRN (Court Reporting Network) evaluation. You must schedule your CRN evaluation within 72 hours of your Bucks County Preliminary Hearing. While your evaluation does not have to be completed in 72 hours, you must make that appointment by telephone in that time frame. There is a fee associated with this process. The following two organizations are approved Bucks County providers of CRN evaluations:
The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc
252 W Swamp Rd
Baliwick Office Campus, #33
Doylestown, PA 18901
CRN evaluation results are automatically transmitted to the Bucks County Prosecutor’s Office. If a CRN counselor determines that you need additional alcohol or drug counseling/treatment, the sentencing judge at Common Pleas Court in Doylestown will usually order you to complete the recommended treatment or rehabilitation. Saile & Saile, LLP will prepare you for your Bucks County CRN evaluation so that you will have the best chance to achieve positive results on your Bucks County drunk driving-DUI case.
