Excessive Speeding

If a Bucks County driver is convicted of speeding31 miles per hour or more over the posted speed limit, the driver will have to attend a Departmental Hearing. Once PennDot reviews the hearing file, one or both of the following will be initiated:

  1. 15-Day License Suspension
  2. Special On-Road Driver’s Examination

If a 15-day suspension penalty is given to the Bucks County driver, his or her driving record will show 5 points once license is reinstated. Failure to attend this Departmental Hearing will result in a 60-day license suspension to the Bucks County driver.
