Failure to Maintain Lane

While on patrol, Bucks County police officers often observe drivers weaving in and out of the lane of travel and into the shoulder or oncoming lane. This type of driving action can provide the police officer reasonable suspicion to pull you over for the Bucks County traffic violation of failing to maintain your lane.

Weaving or failing to maintain the lane is a common sign of a Bucks County drunk driver. There are other explanations for weaving, but police officers often look for signs of alcohol use when initiating a Bucks County traffic stop for failing to maintain the lane.

Unfortunately, failing to maintain is a proper justification for a police officer to stop your vehicle in Bucks County. The degree or severity of the weaving can be challenged by an aggressive Bucks County DUI lawyer in order to have the DUI traffic stop suppressed. Many times the traffic ticket of failing to maintain your lane is charged along with a Bucks County DUI offense.

If you have been issued a ticket for failure to maintain lane contact an experienced Bucks County traffic ticket lawyer.
