An Occupational Limited License (OLL) is a restricted driver’s license issued by PennDot to Bucks County, Pennsylvania drivers whose driving privileges have been suspended for a Bucks County DUI - driving under the influence charge. If your PA driver’s license has been revoked, you are not eligible for a Pennsylvania OLL. A PA Occupational Limited License authorizes a PA driver to operate a designated vehicle, under certain conditions, only when it is necessary for the driver’s occupation, trade, medical treatment or study. In order to qualify for a PA OLL you must first surrender your driver’s license, then complete an Occupational Limited License Petition (form DL-15). The fee for applying for the PA OLL is $50.00 and an individual can be issued only one PA OLL every five years. A PA OLL is valid for the length of your Bucks County DUI license suspension term. PennDot will return your regular license after your driving privilege has been restored. If you have been convicted of a first offense Bucks County, PA DUI (driving under the influence) you do qualify for an OLL, but only after your 60-day license suspension has been served for your Bucks County, PA DUI conviction. In addition, if you are stopped by a Bucks County police officer or a PA State Trooper under suspicion of a DUI and refuse to submit to chemical or DUI B.A.C. testing, you would qualify for a PA OLL only if: (1) you have no more than one prior offense, (2) you have served 12 months of an 18 month license suspension, (3) you have satisfied all Pennsylvania license restoration requirements, and (3) you have ignition interlock installed on your vehicle. The following types of license suspensions DO NOT qualify for an OLL: 3345 - Passing a School Bus 3367 - Racing on Highways 3732 - Homicide by Vehicle 3733 - Fleeing a Police Officer 3734 - Driving Without Lights 3735 - Homicide by Vehicle/DUI 3736 - Reckless Driving 3742 - Accidents Involving Death or Injury 3743 - Leaving Scene of an Accident 3802 - Driving Under the Influence (possible exceptions) 1533 or 6146 - Failure to Respond to a Citation 1543 - Driving while Suspended (possible exceptions) 1547 - Refusal to Submit to Chemical Testing (possible exceptions) 1786 - Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility ARD Ordered Suspension for DUI Controlled Substance, Drug, Device & Cosmetic Act Violations Underage Alcohol Violations (possible exceptions) Any Serious Traffic Offense Any Violations Relating to Accidents and Accident Reports |
